It must have taken Scott Frost a great deal of time and energy to write
that letter.

I hope Harvey Perlman reads these comments about Steve Pederson:

"It's just hard for me to believe that someone who probably couldn't
draw up an over front or and under front is the best person to pick a
football coach. I actually think that things could have ended up worse,
especially when you consider some of the other coaches that were
rumored to have planes waiting at their local airports.
...
Now we all have to deal with it. All of us, including the administration.
...
Steve Pedersen brought that on himself when he was so cavalier in
making these tough decisions.... [H]e took a big risk and painted himself
into a tight corner."

To me, whether Pederson fortuitously found someone who will be
successful at Nebraska or not, his handling of Solich and the other
staff before their firing, the way he did the firing, and the way the
search was conducted after the firing are sufficient basis to believe
he should not be leading NU's athletic program. The fact that, in
the wake of his own actions, he is an extremely divisive figure, in a
program that has long united Nebraskans in their state identity and
support for the university, reinforces the basis for replacing Steve
Pederson.

Chancellor Pederson should replace Steve Pederson as AD after the
signing date. First, this will remove the most single divisive figure
from the program and allow the chapter of the Solich firing to be
closed. Second, it will put someone in the AD's office in whom
fans will have more confidence as Coach Callahan's effort as Nebraska
is evaluated. Third, it should help with fundraising.
