I don't doubt the die hards will still attend games, people on this list have a heightened awarness of the program. If the streak ends, and I do not think it will, it will be for the same reasons attendance is down in all sports. High ticket prices and costs (including donations to the U), lots of entertainment choices, more seats available, more and more games on TV. I have tried to go to games in my area (Alamobowl, Texas) but the travel to Lincoln gets harder and more expensive every year. If I know I can see the game on TV, which I could all up to the Kansas Game, I save the 600 + dollars for the weekend. I admit being there is much better, though. A few years ago, I could only see a couple games a year on TV - a much greater incentive to travel. I don't believe the streak will end due to long range travelers, it will be due to Lincoln, Omaha and the surrounding area people not attending. There are 25000 students on campus too, maybe make it easier for them to att!
end.

I'm a 'state-mate' with Mr. Volk as we both live in MN. I drive to Lincoln for
every game save one each year. I have done that for so many years I can't say
with confidence...at least 30. (The first year I retired I did miss three home
games however.) This year, we watched the Maine game in Bangor, so we didn't
make it to Lincoln for that one.
We also drove to Mizzou this year. We drive to Ames with regularity and to
Boulder the last three games out there...not this year however. Nothing close
to business-related as we retired five years ago.
I also have concerns about the sellout streak ending. My personal plan is to
continue as I have been if I can afford it.
