That Taylor stayed in reflects a) the kid's incredible toughness, and b)
Callahan's NFL mentality, which decrees that, barring injury, the starting
QB - and only the starting QB - plays. Taylor has taken every offensive snap
for NU this year. If he goes down, no one is remotely game-ready behind him.
(Of course, given the way the season has gone, there have been precious few
opportunities to play a backup at QB; the last series or two Saturday was
one such opportunity.)

> One thing about the game itself, in the 4th quarter, Zac Taylor got nailed
behind the line of scrimmage. He barely got up off the ground after the
play. The others had to help lift him up (this happened right in front of
us). He started to walk toward the sideline, shaking his head as if he
couldn't see straight. Then he turned around to walk back to the huddle,
kind of staggering, and walked right into #77, like he never saw him. At
that point, I was rather worried about Zac. He seemed out of it and I
believe on the next play he threw an interception. A few people in front of
us saw the same thing and thought he should have been pulled right there and
then.
