I will only miss 2 Husker games this season: Baylor
and Colorado. However, my brother-in-law has had work
obligations that kept him from attending games this
year, and the cancellations usually were
"week-of-the-game" variety. 4 times I've had to
resort to holding tickets up outside the stadium. One
I was able to sell for $10, one for $20. The other
two tickets are still sitting in my binocular case
unused.
Ticket demand is down, no question about it. I've
heard of several people purchasing season tickets in
August and September. And with 6,000+ new seats
opening up next fall, I'm not sure the demand is
there.
Am I worried about the sellout streak ending? You
bet. But it won't be because of me; I plan on
renewing next season. This athletic director can't
get rid of me THIS easily.
