[Husker] KU Taking Knee In Mercy

They never literally took a knee ... Starting quarterback in through the end
of the game.
Except for the five hours I spent on the KU campus I had a wonderful weekend
with no garage cleaning or crosswords.
As if watching the game wasn't agony enough, everyone stood throughout the
game in a section of about half KU- half NU fans. My bad knee is begging for
an orthopod.
The comments of some of our fellow Husker fans at the gane were disgusting
and vile. Some vandalism was done to NE cars. Stolen hubcaps and broken-off
mirrors. Students paraded goal posts around the campus. A couple of officers
were with the students in a reflecting pool area where they had "secured" a
portion of the goal posts.
People were admonished to not go on the field, but the announcer may as well
have been yelling into a blizzard gale in the middle of Cherry County for
the attention he received.
On the bright side, after enduring this most embarassing of Saturdays,
I don't see how it can possibly get any worse. And, as they say, it is a
very pretty campus.
