Yes, I do think Barney Cotton would be interested in the job as long as SP
was history.

A bigger joke than our football team is the notion that we can just "go
back" to the past. The more I read comments like this, the better I feel
about the direction we're going, to be honest, even if it seems like crap
now. Probably a knee-jerk reaction I have to people who won't deal with
reality. Even moreso that it's something as meaningless (in how it affects
our lives) as Husker football.

TO would lead the fund raising..... I can understand this comment is after
a game, a really crappy game, and I probably should take the comment with
a grain of salt, but what makes you think he's remotely interested? Or
Barney Cotton? Or any of them? You don't think Barney is having fun at
Iowa State?

If you really want to relive that time period, I suggest you go out and
buy some video tapes or DVD's and pretend those games are being played
now. It will be as real as the notion that we can "be all together again".

The sooner we move the better? Right now, today, maybe? Storm the
University with pitch forks and some rope? Is this the week we start
hearing stories about people hiring moving fans to park next to Callahan's
or Cosgrove's houses? Or other stupid stuff like that? I hope not. I hope
Nebraskans have more dignity than that.

We were lucky to lose against Texas Tech.

On defense, yes. Our front four is decent enough, but again, look at our
defensive backfield. Other than Bullocks, what's there? Grixby is playing
better, but still only a sophomore.

Other than Cory Ross, we are playing freshman at back. We started Murtha
today at left tackle, and he had at least three false starts, one of which
ultimately lead to the safety against us. Lucky and Glenn sound like a
good combination to me for next year.

I don't like a lot of things about this team, but let's get real about it.
This is a very young, very mediocre football team. Many of them are
getting playing time (with the exception of quarterback being played
exlusively by Taylor).
