As I life-long Cubs fan, I resent the implication that Cubs fans patience
is that short.  :-)

A few years ago my son was driving through the Chicago metropolitan area on
a late spring day and heard a radio spot the initial portion of which is

The flowers in Grant Park, the sailboats on the lake, the Cubs are 
eliminated from the pennant race.....
