I'm willing to give him another two yeas, as well, if only because history
suggests that team who change their coaches more than 2 times in a decade
will continue to struggle. (But I'm not sure 2006 will be the turnaround
year, and if 2007 isn't it either then I think Bill Callahan will be out.)
AD is also a skilled position, though the skills are less obvious. He is
managing a $40 million business where EVERY MOVE is going to upset a large
number of people in the state, including major donors.
If you think raising millions of dollars in operating fund donations EVERY
YEAR (plus running multiple ongoing capital campaigns) is easy, try doing it.
