[Husker] Callahan

It's not like he smacked a Clemson linebacker after an interception or something..................................
Seriously, the holding call thing has gotten me all year long. I am pretty vocal about this within Section 16A (ask my fellow fans). It seems like every team we have played is getting away with holding. Now I have never officiated at the college level, but have (all be it long ago) at the high school level. I was an offensive lineman. I don't know if this qualifies me or not, but in my opinion, this situation is bordering on ridiculous. I was not at the OU game so can not really comment, but I can tell you that the Iowa State guys got away with holding blatantly and so did the Texas Tech guys. Maybe it is a Big XII issue. I don't know. My big issue is that it is a subjective call many times, but it should be pretty clear if there is overt tackling or pulling of the jersey or other equipment and it simply is not getting called. If it is not going to be called, then lets remove it from the rulebook.....

I'll tell you what: I'M certainly embarrassed by Callahan's actions.
I certainly wish they'd never happened. It just plain looks and
feels bad. Very Un-Nebraska-like.
Yet, that official DID get overlay aggressive. The non-holding calls
had been accumulating ALL GAME. I'm certainly not the most astute
viewer of football on TV, and I saw several blatant, blatant holds.
More like tackles by the offensive players of our defensive players.
And I simply can't believe that someone actually mentioned that
Callahan would be "reprimanded" or have to "sit out" this Saturday.
Jo Pa never missed any games, and I'd say he's done waaaay enough in
his years on the sidelines to the refs to warrant a reprimand or two.
