[Husker] Callahan

I would buy that if Bill Callahan had not been in the NFL for all those years where that gesture he made has been banned and beaten like a dead horse. No one does that anymore in the pros because of the for sure bad consequences if they do. I don't know where the Big 12 weighs in on it.

I think Bill becomes psychotic when he plays OU for some reason. Same as with the oranges on the field last year; good thing he wasn't around in '93 when we beat OU in Lincoln to go to the OB, he would have really been hacked at his own fans. The hillbilly thing was strange as well; I have been around a lot of OU games and always liked them and their fans as well, coaches too. Still do; they have good players and always play hard.

Maybe it is just the newer coaches, after all Pellini called Bill Snyder an asshole at mid-field after K State beat the shit out of us a couple of years ago. May be, but he is also a head coach and is a good one according to other coaches. Just 'cause you can't stop his guys from scoring you call him names?

So perhaps that is just the way it is nowadays, but less of that and more W's would be my preference.

Coach says he was telling the official 'he has had it up to here' with the
officiating with his gesture. Like he would with his kids. I agree he had the
right to 'have it up to here' with this crew. There were bad calls or lack of
calls all day for two weeks straight for both teams.

Or "refreshing candor", depending on your preferences. :)
