Had he done so he would almost certainly be sitting out this Saturday's 
game.  He may have to do so anyway.

There are appropriate ways to deal with bad officiating, gestures during 
the game isn't one of them.  

After each game the team sends a report on the officiating to the conference 
office.  I have heard of situations under previous head coaches (as well 
as other coaches in the conference) where that included film or videotape 
of specific plays.  As a result some officials have been reprimanded, 
suspended for one or more games and I think in two cases they were either 
dismissed immediately or not rehired for the next season.  

Callahan is supposed to be a professional, he should act like one.
