I think that we can take Wagner's comment as somewhat tongue in cheek, as 
an illustration of how far behind the kid was in regards to strength and 
conditioning. Perhaps we should also take that to mean that Wagner isn't 
going to put new recruits on the field until they've reached a certain 
point, met a certain standard. That's not a bad thing. 

We do have some offensive lineman coming, just not this year, 
unfortunately. 

My comment earlier about Solich recruits should be taken as tongue in 
cheek also, hence the "<G>" at the end of it.

Did this kid have a wrecked shoulder or something? I mean my 6 year-old 
nephew can do 10 pushups- I'm guessing there is in fact more to this than 
meets the eye (although I'm not sure it even matters).

Perhaps we're jumping the gun in assuming that plain lack of strength 
was the reason this player didn't/couldn't do 10 pushups - - 
assuming, again, that the report was accurate.

Illness or injury are just two of the ideas that spring to mind.

I suggest someone find some hard evidence and make a reliable report 
before we start trashing any players or coach.
