10 teams might be a bit much.  I'm not sure if the NCAA will
do that.  I think 9 get in with Arkansas being the last one
in.  As Mike mentioned the SEC has better weather for
baseball and that better weather breeds more teams that are
competitive.  They don't have to travel far to play a
mid-level team whereas Northern Iowa, North and South Dakota
State, etc stink.

As far as conference strength, the SEC has more teams (12 to
10) and more of them play tougher schedules and similar or
better results than Big 12 teams giving the statistical
argument for a stronger conference.  Also, they beat up on
each even more than in the Big 12.  The 11th place team was
only 7.5 games back for a 30 game season.
