I personally feel the change in offensive philosophy is as much to blame
for any current depth problems as the quality of the last four or five
recruiting classes. IMHO, the Huskers still have quite a few square peg
players trying to fit into a round hole offense.

Absolutely! There isn't a Big XII conference game that the Huskers couldn't
lose this year, and the Big XII North is as balanced as it has ever been.
Of the non-conference games, I'm not sure any of them are GUARANTEED
locks, either, though losing to Maine or Wake Forest would probably be
counted among the biggest upsets in modern Husker history.

That's an interesting topic for discussion. Beginning with the Devaney
era, what are the biggest upset wins and losses for the Huskers?

BTW, if you want to see an interesting example of poor web design, go
to huskers.com and select 'football' from the men's sports list. The
schedule in column 3 is missing the Colorado game, probably because its
a fixed size block that only holds 10 events. Change that to men's
basketball, and it shows no games scheduled. I suppose that's because
the men's schedule hasn't been announced yet, but it would be more accurate
and informative to say that, ie, 'The 2005-06 men's basketball schedule
hasn't been released yet."
