While I agree that this year's players will be more acclimated to Callahan's
system, one recruiting class isn't enough to staunch the bleeding as far as
lack of depth is concerned. As good as this year's class appears and as
numerous as this year's class was there are still serious depth issues.

If you have had a chance to see Zac Taylor's Spring Game video, there is a
lot to like. However, also look at the D backs. They are very poor right
now. Look at the Tackles getting beat time after time. As I said earlier,
the incoming recruits at these positions better be ready to play. I don't
think some of them are. I believe they were graded more on potential than
current readiness to step in and play. Maybe by mid season they will be
significant contributors.

I also believe it is a lot more difficult to look at a schedule and count
wins and losses today than it was in 1988. The parity in talent makes those
inevitable bad days harder to salvage as a win.
