     Probably some of you have seen this but Pederson doesn't like the Stoops idea of doing away with divisional play in football.  I think I agree with Pederson on this one.  The more chances there are to challenge for number one in the conference the more interest and, of course, the interest the more money.  If you go to no divisions then you are only going to have two or three teams challenge for the top.  Splitting it gives more teams a chance.  That is one reason Major League Baseball went to division play some years back.  It creates more pennant races.  The only thing I don't like about the divisional setup is the Big 12 has gotten the short end of the deal as a result of the championship game a few times.  The ideal situation is if conference championship games didn't affect the National rankings.
