Nebraska beat K-State tonight 5-4 inspite of an umpire aided
3 run homer on a foul ball by K-State's Josh Dent.

It doesn't look good for Mizzou tonight, they are behind 7-1
after 7 innings. Scherzer only lasted 5 innings, gave up 5
runs (4 earned according to game tracker) on 8 hits, 3 SO
and 2 walks.

More on NU's win - the bullpen came in and shut down K-State
after Joba ran into trouble in the 7th. Bohanan took over
when Joba gave up a leadoff single and then balked the
runner to 2nd. Duensing came in after Bohanan gave up a
leadoff double in the 8th and promptly retired the side.
Jensen got the save.

NU's first run was a bit on the unusual side. Ledbetter
lined into a double play, but Boyer scored before Gordon was
retired to end the inning. A heads up play by Boyer. The
way things turned out, it was very critical.

Solid fielding with some great plays thrown in and no
errors. K-State's 1 error cost them dearly, leading to NU's
two runs in the 7th that put them ahead.

PS I may have spoken too soon about Mizzou. They've scored
4 runs in the top of the 8th, but still trail by two with
only the 9th left for them.
