Hmmmm.... never saw the other post from Gerald...... whatever.
Yes, Bob, that's what I live for - "nailing" you. I stay up late at night
thinking about it. Yeah, that's the ticket! Look, I'm up late now. Surely
that must be the case!
Seriously, since yours was a "me too" post, I simply replied to the latest
post. I will give you credit for being a master at goading people into
responses, though.
I owe Gerald a separate post privately, but let's just say this - I really
wonder if Callahan was trying to make a joke or not, time will tell. Right
now, I see Callahan as being thin-skinned. I hope I'm wrong about that,
and hope that he was trying to make a joke. I disagree with the track
record on Callahan. It's not as if he just showed up in coaching. His
Raider players didn't have many nice comments during his losing season
(after the Super Bowl run), although you easily dismiss Charles Woodson's
comments - specifically those regarding that Callahan didn't speak to him
for a couple months.
If Sittler's article was damnation, he'll have to get much thicker skin,
because he'll get many more of those written about him, regardless of
whether or not he wins or how he reacts. It goes with the territory.
Give him a chance? I have constantly said that Callahan deserves time,
even if we have an abysmal season in the upcoming year. That will not keep
me from making comments regarding how he's handling this team.
