In recent years, the NCAA has been paying more
attention to seeding and location than the money.
After 9/11, they've tried to group teams regionally so
that a minimum number of teams have to fly.
With that being said, one of the biggest allies
towards getting a regional in Lincoln are the
Creighton Bluejays. A strong showing at the
conference tournaments for both teams would make a
Lincoln regional tough for the NCAA to ignore when
they set the brackets.
As for the Super Regional, they pretty much need to be
a top 8 seed, or hope their opponent in the regional
(a) upsets a top 8 seed, or (b) only has high school
quality facilities. The higher seeded team almost
always gets to be the host.
