I believe the conference rule is that if the game is not made up within 
2 days (allowing a Friday rainout to be made up on Sunday as part of a 3 
day series, for example) it doesn't count in the conference standings if 
it is made up subsequently.  

It does count in overall standings, which might influence seeding into 
the NCAA Tournament.

Generally speaking, that rule has hurt northern teams more than southern
ones, I for one am glad to see Texas possibly get bit by that rule, maybe
they'll think about changing it now.
