[Husker] Ditka

I think Ditka was saying what people wanted to hear. Who wants to go to a
booster banquet and listen to a negative diatribe against Nebraska's
football coach, especially with how divided the fan base is. If Solich was
still the coach, I imagine he'd have positive things to say about him as
well, at least if he was asked about it. Ditka was in town visiting
Boys/Girls town, which is mostly a positive PR/image type thing. That isn't
to cast any negative light on Ditka, as it's great that he took time out of
his presumably busy schedule to chat with Omaha-area youngsters.

However, it's silly to expect Ditka to offer up any overly-critical or
negative analysis when he's merely visting Omaha to chat with some kids. I
imagine controversey is the last thing he'd want to have to deal with on
such a trip. To treat these comments as anything more than press-friendly
quotables to attract interest of the crowd being lectured to is probably a
tad foolish. Regardless of your opinion on Callahan/Solich/whatever, I
wouldn't let Ditka's comments influence you one way or the other.
