In the first place can't a reference be made about two contrasting coaching philosophies without some comment? I still can't figure out why the good people of this list don't bring up "dead horse" when Devaney or Osborne are brought up. They, obviously, don't coach at NU any more either therefore talk about them should be "dead horse" as well. I don't know. As far as I know Solich is still coaching. Bear in mind YOU called Solich a dead horse. I didn't.

There was a great difference between what was the plan and how it all played out. In 2003 the Huskers attempted 192 passes over 13 games for an average of about 14 per game. In 2004 the Huskers threw the ball 322 time over 11 games for an average per game of about 33. In both cases I did some rounding off. If one wants to further break it down 14 per game is just a little more than 3 per quarter and 33 is more than eight per quarter. Anyway my point wasn't to say anything positive or negative about Solich. I was just trying to compare the two philosophies.

I have never learned anything when I was the one doing the talking.
