Why would you think that Ditka and Solich would
disagree?  When Frank Solich hired Barney Cotton 2
years ago, the plan was to develop a more effective
passing game.

Now, I think that Solich and Cotton would have called
about half as many passes last season as Callahan and
Norvelle, but I think a more effective passing game
was in the works.  It didn't look like that in 2003,
since the staff was more interested in winning games
than making a statement.

Now, if you want to take a positive take on "Da
Coach's" comments, he says Bill Callahan is a good
coach.
