[Husker] Neal's account of the slur

I'm sorry but in this day and age if you drop the 'N' bomb you're going
to get hell over it. Especially with the press who now compete with
bloggers and other internet sites so there'll be a definite rush to
inform everyone that the 'N' bomb was dropped. I have to agree that as a
man, who as a coach has faced the press for numerous years, Cochell
should have been more media savvy. He also could have avoided this whole
situation if he asked that his comments be off the record. I don't think
that Cochell is a racist but I have always found the 'N' bomb to be
extremely insulting. OU really could have had Cochell take racial
sensitivity training whilst looking good to the general public because
of their stance and for making Cochell take the class. In this day and
age though, you're dropped like a bad habit if anything like this
happens and you're in a high visibility job.

So what you're really saying here is that the media is perfectly correct
in using anything they get whenever they get it to destroy a person's
career if they're given the opportunity, right?
