I suspect that's true if one team wants to leave.  They probably have to give
2 years notice and forfeit all conference revenue immediately.

However, if half the teams bolt, that's likely to be a different situation,
because the TV contracts may have different opt-out clauses in them.

I don't know how serious this rumor is, though.
