[Husker] Passing problems

Just speculating.
Thinking a little about Daily's problems in the passing game last year I
don't recall reading a post about one possible reason. Pass blocking is
about more than keeping your man from getting to the QB. It also is about
creating lanes for the QB to see downfield to the receiver. There are many
ways of going about this but without these allies for the QB to throw
through good results can't be expected. This isn't as easy to accomplish
as some might think. Check Texas Tech's line splits when they line
up. The big gaps between linemen make it easier to create these passing lanes.
With an O-line new to this concept and a relatively short QB it's not
suprising to see a lot of batted balls, INTs and incompletions.
I would expect that this wouldn't be so much of a factor this year[if it
was a factor at all last year].
