I think BC's comment was directed to a particular group of hecklers and not  
to the OU crowd as a whole.  Every stadium has some fans like that and his  
reaction to them (while not very smart or appropriate) should not be taken as  
his opinion of the Sooners or the bulk of their fan base.  That would be  like 
saying all Husker fans are f***ing hillbillies because a couple of drunks  
threw a beer at the Buffs.
 
I think, despite the last two bowl performances, OU has an awful lot of  good 
things about their program and coaching that any smart coach is going  to try 
to emulate.
 
To reiterate, I'm not defending BC's statement from last fall, just  
differentiating between it and his opinion of the team.
