Not a great day for NU wrestling. They will be very lucky to repeat last years
top 5 finish.

Quick recap -

125# Matt Keller lost in the consolations this am & is out of the tournament. I thought
he would AA after falling one win short last year.

133# Dominic Moyer, who was a surprise qualifier also lost this am & is out of the tourney.

141# Matt Murray is injuried and cannot continue. He has a laceration on his liver and
lost in a weakened state yesterday, then taken to the hospital. Sad way for a SR AA to
finish his career.

149# Travis Shufelt is alive in the consolation brackets. He needs 2 wins to repeat AA.
He is 4-4 on the season, having missed most of the year with elbow surguery. For some
unexplainable reason, the NCAA refused his request for a medical redshirt year. So he
decided against doctors orders to try to complete the season.

157# BJ Wright did not qualify for the NCAAs, bad politics there.

165# Jacob Klien lost in the quarter finals the the #2 wrestler from MI. Klein will need
one win in the consolations to AA again.

184# Travis Pascoe, seeded 3rd, is in the semis against the #10 seed from Cornell, should
Pascoe win, then he will wrestle #1 Jones from WVU (who beat Pascoe 6-3 early in the
season). Pascoe is guaranteed AA status.

197# BJ Padden is another AA with his quaterfinals win. Padden has #2 Rosholt from OSU,
who Padden beat in the conf tourney and lost a controversial match in the duals.

Still could have 4 AAs, but it will be tough.
