Not in my opinion but it is only my opinion.

A lot of schools are "one sport" schools of which Nebraska seemingly fits. There are also plenty of schools that don't put up with the "we're a basketball or we're a football" school thought process. Among those in the Big 12 are Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Iowa State. I am not saying there isn't more success in one sport or the other in these schools than another. I am saying the emphasis isn't more on one sport than the other. Nebraska makes no bones about perpetrating the thought that basketball is a second class citizen.

Maybe at NU but there are a lot of schools that wouldn't buy that. I named some conference schools above that wouldn't but there are a lot around the country that way as well.
