[Husker] Chaney

     Probably because it isn't Husker related I haven't seen any comments about the John Chaney situation.  Beings the list isn't what one would call blazing with posts I'll throw out a couple of comments.  I really think Temple University should contemplate terminating Chaney.  I don't care how many great things he has supposedly done what he did was reprehensible.  If I assault someone the sentence is going to be severe regardless of how "great" of a life I had lived before that.  People say you could compare Chaney to Bob Knight.  I don't think there is any comparison at all.  Knight has a fiery temper and many times uses flowery language but I don't ever recall Knight sending a "goon" into a game with the express purpose of laying pain on someone.  I also never remember Knight threatening to kill someone as did Chaney when he threatened to kill John Calapari.  Knight has an out of control temper.  Chaney is a thug.  I am not condoning things Knight did but I have never seen Knight threatening or carrying out bodily harm on anyone.  The fact the Chaney incident was premeditated makes it worth termination in my opinion.  It won't happen for at least two reasons.  One is Temple university is intimidated by John Chaney and the other reason I won't get in to.
