I personally think the "whatever colored glasses" comment was a bit much. If
someone states an opinion, I wouldn't automatically question their
objectivity like you did. I'm passionate about Husker basketball ... but there's no one
who's been more critical of the program on this list than I have been.
The officiating in the NU-ISU game was typical "on the road" in the Big XII,
in my opinion. The display at the beginning of the second half was
rediculous, in my opinion. Heck, Nebraska got some questionable calls here in Lincoln
against Iowa State in the second half that helped keep it close. A few of the
calls in Lincoln when Jason Dorusseau was going to the hole were very much
"phantom" calls.
My original post on the subject used the term "questionable" when describing
the officiating. Mike J. told me that was an understatement, as it was
intended to be. I didn't want to harp on it.
I have no desire to post anything else re: officiating. It's a joke and a
bigger joke that they aren't held accountable. No interviews or coaches
comments about the officiating after the game. That's an entirely different thread
that would be a boring one, in my opinion.
If I state an opinion on this list, I don't need someone automatically
questioning my objectivity and credibility. You don't know me anymore than I do
you. Some people ARE capable of looking at things from an objective standpoint.
Disagree with me if you want, but don't tell someone you don't know that they
are not capable of being objective. I don't need that.
