[Husker] Baseball 2006

I too blame Shatel. We, including me, should be excited we got this far. Heck, how would you like to have this kind of success in men's basketball. For a cold weather school making it to the CWS 3 times in the 00s is amazing.

Neal, even the announcers were saying that Gordon was getting nothing to look at pitch wise. If you want to see his value just look at the fact that when he got up in the ninth against ASU he did slap in a RBI single. After a less than spectacular CWS he did come through in the clutch when we needed him to. I will agree that on some things Anderson left me wanting more but hey, he’s got one win more in the CWS than Dave Van Horn. The Huskers having a chance was ruined by the fact that Shatel gave them a good shot at winning the whole thing. That man is a curse worse than being on the cover of SI.

He showed me nothing in the CWS, but then again neither did coach Mike Anderson. Too bad, I thought they had a chance.

Neal when you're the second pick in the MLB draft you leave. He would be
sacrificing millions of dollars if he were not to leave. It's not worth
having possibly a poor senior season and dropping in the draft because
he can only improve his draft position by one.

Gordan is only a junior. Do you think he will leave early.

Yep...I meant Bohanan...I must have been thinking of Husker teams gone
by when I typed Buchanan.

Also, for some reason I could have sworn Christy was a Sr., so in fact
the line-up should look more like this:

> C: Christy (Sr)
> 1B: Buckman (Sr)
> 2B: Opitz (Soph)
> SS: Werhle (Soph)
> 3B: Bohanan (Soph)
> LF: Adams (Sr)

> S2: Dorn (Soph)
> S3: Timm (Sr)**Provided he gets a medical hardship granted
