[Husker] batting helmets

I believe pine tar is used as so a bat doesn't slip from your hands
whether aluminum or wooden.

I asked the same question of a friend who knows a lot about baseball and
he told me it's the pine tar from the bats. Apparently, the stuff gets
everywhere.
