Good Morning All:
Just a word of advice regarding tickets for the CWS, the general admission ticket books that the CWS sells are $50 per book and contain 10 tickets. These tickets are good for any session of the CWS including the championship series but these DO NOT guarantee admission to Rosenblatt Stadium.
If you plan on using tickets from the GA books for admission to NU games plan on lining up near the right or left field foul poles approximately 5-6 hours before game time. The Omaha Fire Department will be counting heads as they enter and will cut off admissions once a certain point is reached and no one else gets in unless someone leaves. This is not the case for those with reserved seat tickets, I'm fortunate to have season tickets for the CWS and I've seen plenty of times where many frustrated people have been left out due to the fire code concerns. BTW, I won't be at every game or session but some member of my family will be, so I don't have any extras available.
On the subject of scalping CWS tickets it is illegal in Omaha to scalp tickets within one mile of Rosenblatt Stadium. The Omaha Police often run sting operations and cite those who attempt to sell or buy tickets this way. If caught the tickets will be confiscated and then you're out of luck so be careful if you plan to go this route for tickets.
Parking at the stadium is terrible for the CWS and only those with season ticket parking stickers are permitted to park on stadium grounds (sticker and $10 per day to park). Your best bet is to use the Park and Ride system operated by MAT (Metro Area Transit) for the various games you'll avoid the parking hassles and frustration of driving in this type of traffic, Also if you do drive do not park in the Omaha Zoo parking lot, violator's will be towed away and this is enforced very strictly.
Enjoy the series in Omaha and hopefully NU will advance quite a ways-
