Just an FYI, the majority of the time college baseball players will go
to the pros as a junior because of the different way the draft is
handled in baseball.
In baseball a player can 'test the field' to see if he wants to go pro
or stay in college. As long as he does not hire an agent, he can get
drafted, see what the club offers and then decide whether or not he
wants to stay or go. Typically, of course with some exceptions, a
player will get more money for going during his junior year because a
team is willing to give the player and incentive for not going back to
school. However, as a senior, they know you're somewhat 'stuck' into
going for the pros, therefore they have no reason to offer you any
extra incentive (unless your just too good to be unsigned, which is
rare for a college senior).
Just thought I'd pipe in.
