I think you typo'd here, John. Nebraska plays at 12:05 on Friday. You
did have it correct in the schedule part of your post.

Here is how I understand the CWS to work. The winners of the those super
regionals started this Friday will play on Friday, June 17; the winners of
the rest will play on Saturday, June 18.

On Friday, June 17, the winner of the Miami/Nebraska super-regional will
face the winner of the Arizona State/Fullerton super-regional. The winner
of the Georgia Tech/Tennessee super-regional will face the winner of the
Florida State/Florida super-regional.

On Saturday, June 18, the winner of the Clemson/Baylor super-regional will
face the winner of the Texas/Mississippi super-regional. The winner of
the Rice/Tulane super-regional will face the winner of the Oregon
State/USC super-regional.

Those will be the first-round matchups. The game times and complete CWS
schedule will be released on either Sunday or Monday.

What's the best Web site anyone has found on this stuff? The apparent
dearth of interest in collegiate baseball is bewildering. SI.com has
coverage of the draft, but no separate category for general information --
none that I see, anyway.

They do have NFL, College FB, MLB, NBA, College Basketball, Golf, NASCAR
and "More." Under "More" is NHL, Soccer, Tennis, Boxing, HOrse racing,
cricket (!), cycling, winter (?), rugby, track and field, olympics and
"world sports."

Olympics? Now?
