A couple of quick notes...

Tommie Frazier is a candidate for the head coach at
Doane College in Crete.

And recruiting fanatics are probably still dancing in
the streets after the news that Josh Freeman, a QB
from Grandview, Missouri, has committed to the
Huskers.  The recruiting of Freeman actually began 2
years ago when Freeman was a freshman and Frank Solich
was still head coach.  Scott Downing worked long and
hard on his recruitment.  Freeman is considered to be
similar to Daunte Culpepper of Central Florida and
Minnesota Viking fame; a very big physical (6'5", 235
lbs) QB.  Some schools are looking at him as a TE or
even defensive end.

Also committing was a receiver from Jordan Congdon's
high school in San Diego, Menelik Holt, a 6-3 wide
receiver.

Also, another Callahan recruit has left Lincoln.
Santino Panico has withdrawn from school and received
his release.  Personally, I hope he does well wherever
he ends up; he took way too much of the blame last
season for our anemic punt returns.  With minimal
support from blockers, he usually was swarmed within a
second of catching the ball.
