OK, you got me on Lawrence, it is less of hickville than Manhattan. But Manhattan is hard to beat for hickness. As far as the crackers comment, you've seen the old folks at Allen Field House. In their eyes, KU has never gotten a break and the refs have it in for their them. The state of Kansas isn't the deep south but its on the way.

Yeah, One of the top 2 or three college basketball programs of all time.
Yeah, it's be tough to recruit players at KU. :-)
