[Husker] Scholarship limit question

Although it can get complicated, what the coaches have planned for this year
appears to be fairly clear.
The four JC guys already enrolled in school count against last year's
recruiting class because 1) they signed in December and started school this
term; and 2) we had 4 ships left from last year's 25 total. All the other JC
recruits count against this year's 25. What year they started or graduated
is irrelevant.
At least two of the high school kids have agreed to take gray shirts, which
means they delay going on scholarship until January of NEXT year, making
them part of THAT year's 25 limit.
That buys the staff six extra recruits which is how they get to 31 without
breaking any NCAA rules. You may see them go to 32 or even 33, however. That
would indicate either getting one or two more kids to take gray shirts, or
figure a couple kids don't make grades or test scores. Even though everyone
signs next week, NU is not in violation of the NCAA rules until a kid
actually plays next fall.
