[Husker] Discrepencies between recruit rankings

In yesterday's USA Today they had an article on recruiting. In it They
talked with Tom Lemming who had us with the number one class (this was
before Tomerlin gave us his oral commitment) and Allen Wallace of
Superprep/Scout who didn't have us in his top five (I believe we are
tenth on his list). I look at these discrepancies in the rankings as a
way to not get overly optimistic over the recruiting class. We do have
some studs that we have recruited but as we all know it's not a science
and you can go back through previous recruiting classes to find at least
five or more in each class not contributing at all and going into the
where are they now column. Heck look at David Horne who was the states
top player and Stevie Hicks of ISU. I think we all can agree who came
out to be the better prospect after all is said and done. I will say
having more four and five star recruits will help lessen this problem of
having recruits amount to nothing but I put this out as a way of keeping
some perspective on the recruiting class as I'm sure we will have many
Husker fans going gaga over the class. I do know that KETV in Omaha will
have a special on all the recruits next Wednesday night at nine. Seeing
film on the recruits always helps put a perspective to the class at
hand.
