Nebraska led 37-33 on a follow-shot dunk by Wes Wilkensen with about 20
seconds left in the first half, but he was called for a technical for hanging on
the rim (questionable). Missouri hit the two free throws and then a
three-pointer to take a 38-37 lead at the half. Nebraska played absolutely no defense at
the beginning of the second half and Missouri eventually pulled away. This
was the worst Missouri team I think I've ever seen ... there haven't been a lot
of them.

Very disappointing effort from Nebraska. I don't think this team's overall
team defense has been as good as ;ast year's. At times, yes they play good D,
but they've had their moments when it hasn't been good. This is a team who's
best players are showing to be the underclassmen. McCray, Maric and Wilkensen
all had 14 or more points for the Huskers. Another dreadful game for our
quartet of seniors.

NU, after starting 2 and 0 in conference, is now 2-3 in the Big XII and 8 and
7 overall. Next up is Texas A&M in Lincoln on Wednesday night. This was a
sorry follow-up to the close call at KU, who got killed by Villanova today ...
lost by about 30.
