[Husker] FT Comparison

That reminds me of the best try at a FT psyche out when Larry Bird went
to go shoot FT and the fans behind the basket all dropped closet length
posters of women in bikinis. Even Bird had to step away from the line to
laugh at the stunt. I also liked the Red Zone bringing eye charts for
Creighton's Tyler McKinney during their game with the Huskers. He even
got a chuckle out of it. I believe the best thing about these attempts
to distract is the fact that there is no malice intended which is a
rarity anymore in this day and age. To much of your momma's this or your
wife's that getting involved. I will say I do use the Rodman technique
when playing billiards against friends.

Oh, but I do love statistics! You could keep a home and away set of
statistics to study the effect of the home court on the visitor's free
throw percentage. For example, how active are the fans behind the
basket when an opponent is preparing his free throw? When Dennis
Rodman was with the Bulls, he used to talk and otherwise try to
distract the other player when he was on the line. (It worked with
Karl Malone during the 1998 NBA Finals.)
