Amen! And the loyalty/stability Oz talked about too!
"Would the boy I was yesterday, be proud of the man I am today?"

Subject: [Husker] Coaching
An interesting little bit of history. I believe the sequence is correct.
Baytown Lee High School in Baytown, TX had the following QB's in succession:
Clint Sturner - Started for four years. When to Arkansas and helped turn
the program around, then went to play for the Cowboys. His coach was Drew
Tate's dad.
El Roberson - Started the next four years. Went to K St. and helped them
win their first ever conference championship. Got drafted. Drew Tate's dad
was his coach.
Drew Tate - Started the next four years. Went to Iowa. Threw the last
second winning touchdown pass in this years bowl game. He'll probably go to
the pros. His dad was his HS coach.
Slocum offered Drew's dad an assistant position if Drew would come to
college station but when Solcum was fired Drew went to Iowa. I think we
tend to underestimate the impact of truly excellent coaching.
