Ironic that you mention the Bear.  Remember it was Johnny Rodgers that
motivated the Bear to recruit black athletes.  I saw him say that himself in
an interview.

Desean Jackson reminded me of Johnny Rodgers alot this year.  He is a threat
to score any time he touches the ball.  And when Mission Viejo played Long
Beach Poly this past season, whenever Jackson touched the ball, I often
realized what anxiety the rest of the Big 8 must have felt each time Johnny
Rodgers touched the ball in the early 70's.

Also, Sanchez is very mature for a H.S. senior.  He is everything that you
want in your team leader.

You may recall that Sanchez was on Callahan's early QB list.  Vince
Ferragamo even co-announced some of the local H.S. games.  I was sure hoping
Sanchez would be moving to the midwest.

BTW!  Mission Viejo's Junior RB Chane "The Train" Moline is the best Junior
(6' 11", 235#,) RB that I have ever seen.  I think HE, not Sanchez, was
Orange County's Player of the Year.  He is in the Earl Campbell, Roosevelt
Leaks mold.  I sure would love to see him end up in Lincoln.
