I think next year will depend on how some of the JCs perform. If Taylor or
Adams, or, yes, Dailey, can provide better QB play, I see no reason why the
offense should not be better than last year. If some of the freshmen can
contribute, so much the better. The defense will need a lot of help from
some new guys. Given its spotty performance last year, and the loss of three
of its best players (perhaps its three best players, period), improvement
there will be problematic. And the defensive coaches have a lot to prove,
IMO. I could see this team going 3-8; I could also see it going 9-2. How's
that for fearless prognostication?
