Funny Bob,  you were the one who start this thread.

I have not seen anyone claim that BC should have kept all the assistants.  However IMHO he 
should have atleast considered who he had and talked to them for more than 5 minutes to tell 
them they were all fired.  

I could easily understand not wanting to retain Cotton and some of the other O coaches.  But to dismiss
everyone without consideration was crazy, esp with the level of improvement in the D in 1 year.

IMHO he kept Downing since he was the recruiting coordinator & initially was only going to keep him until
signing day,  later he relented.  I also suspect Gill was a PR move,  since he was probably the most popular 
coach with the fans.
