[Husker] Another Husker leaving and speaking negatively

I think that recent events regarding players leaving the program and
Callahan' s alleged lack of interest in helping the player find an opportunity
somewhere else is another example of his apparent failure so far to adjust to the
college game and the different environment as compared to pro football. In pro
football players get cut, and that's it. See you later. That's what the
Birkel incident sounded like.

Frank and TO had been around the college game all of their coaching lives.
They both had networked with other coaches, knew the ins and outs of other
programs and could help departing Huskers find a spot. Callahan doesn't have that
network, probably. He had been away from college football too long. Perhaps
in time he'll have good coaching contacts, but my guess is that he has a ways
to go.

Many of the complaints that have been registered about Callahan and the new
football environment in Lincoln have their origins in this fundamental issue.
Will he ever make this adjustment? Dunno. If he doesn't, I predict he won't
be around long.
