[Husker] Another Husker leaving and speaking negatively

I disagree Sean.

First I'd like to know what Callahan is supposed to do to help Birkel
transfer. If a player wants to keep playing football it should be his
responsibility to find a program where he will fit. I agree that the coach
can and usually should help with a recommendation. Do you know for a fact
this hasn't been done? In some cases it is possible that the attitude of
the player or his parents makes an honest recommendation impossible.

Secondly, in a situation where a player is being moved along, the player
involved won't have a lot of positive feelings toward any direction the
coach has to give. Also if the coach recommends a new situation and it
doesn't work out, it gives the player one more opportunity to blame his
original coach for how poorly his life has turned out.

I would rather the football coaches not be a placement service.
Gerald
