[Husker] Another Husker leaving and speaking negatively

This is exactly my problem with Callahan, his not helping Birkel to
transfer to another school. Heck, even Solich helped De Angelo Evans
transfer and actually kept up with him and how he was doing at Emporia
St. I doubt we'll hear any of that coming from Callahan and Co. and I
think that's where most of those who mention players leaving unhappy
have their problems. Whether we agreed with the player leaving or not,
TO, Frank and Co. would help those kids get into another school whether
it was a direct call to another coach or letter of recommendation. So
this is, in essence, losing another tradition at NU. Hopefully Callahan
will change for the better on this.

Did TO ever, ever, ever tell him he didn't want to talk about it? That
he would not help him transfer or give him a letter of recommendation?
Did TO or anyone on TO's staff make your buddy or any other player he
witnessed feel like crap?

  I know a guy who was a walk on at NU under TO.  Got on the field once
in 4 years.  He said his experience wasn't good and he hasn't followed
the program in years.  However, he never blasted the team or TO, nor did
he ever quit.  He blames no one, just wasn't good enough.  I have a lot
of respect for this guy very little for the quitters who leave and
complain on the way out the door.

    A lot of bench warmers have ties to NU. Like Truman said, if you
can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Did Horne transfer to
Northern Iowa yet?
