Nebraska 6, Rice 3. Nebraska rallies late to defeat the seventh-ranked Owls.

>From what I can gather, it seems that they called the game after eight
innings due to Nebraska having to catch a flight. Can you believe that? The first
game of the day was a high-scoring, time-consuming, extra inning affair.

And the Huskers won it late on a dramatic three-run home run by All-American
Alex Gordon with two outs in the eighth inning (turned out, Huskers were down
to their last batter!!). NU was down early, 2-0 as Zach Kroneke had trouble
finding the plate. He didn't last long. Dusty Timm came in to keep NU in the
game. Brian Duensing relieved Timm later on. Jensen pitched the final
inning.

Nebraska rallied, down 3 to 1, for five runs in the eighth (and final)
inning. How 'bout it??!!!! Sounds like the Huskers had many blown opportunities
early on in the ballgame. Daniel Bruce also contributed a solo shot in the
decisive eighth inning.

Huge win for the Nebraska baseball program. Huskers are now 7 and 0 on the
season and will surely be ranked when the next poll(s) comes out.
